Professor Sonia Williams
Dr Sonia Williams PhD is a Nutritional Therapist.
Sonia originally qualified as a dentist at the University of London and went on to complete an MSc and PhD in dentistry. She later trained as a nutritional therapist and in shiatsu. She is currently in private practice as a nutritional therapist and holds the Emeritus Chair in Oral Health Services Research at the University of Leeds. She is Chair of the Scientific Advisory Committee for the Nutritional Therapy Council (NTC) and Associate Editor for Dietary and Nutritional Therapies within the CAM Specialist Section of the NHS Library of Health. She was awarded the MBE for her work in child and ethnic minorities dental health.
In 2008, she commenced her post as Lecturer for the Diploma/MSc in Nutrition at the Northern College of Acupuncture.
