Kate Neil

Kate Neil MSc RN RM FRSA, is Director of the Centre for Nutrition Education.  
Kate has been committed to improving educational training standards for nutritional therapy since 1987 and directed courses for the Institute for Optimum Nutrition for 10 years until 1998. She then joined the University of Westminster and was part of the team that developed the first degree course in nutritional therapy. Kate supervised their clinical training for two years. Over that period of time she updated and directed nutritional therapy courses for Raworth College.
She opened the Centre of Nutrition Education in 2001 with the aim of developing courses to a level that would enable nutritional therapists to become fully integrated into health care services in the UK and internationally. By January 2003 Middlesex University (MU) had validated the nutritional therapy course being taught at the Centre as a BSc Hons in Nutritional Therapy. In 2005 MU accredited postgraduate courses developed by the Centre leading to a Masters degree.
Kate is founding editor of the peer-reviewed journal The Nutrition Practitioner and author of Balancing Hormones Naturally. She runs a busy practice focusing on women’s health problems and children with learning and behavioral difficulties. She was 2004 CAM Award Winner for her contribution to the nutritional therapy community.
