Increased intake of the Omega-3s EPA and DHA in children has been associated with improved brain function, expressed as improved learning, concentration and behaviour. The SP expert panel recommends a minimum of 150mg EPA / DHA to children of 6 months – 2 years and 450mg EPA / DHA to children of 2-12 years in order to achieve optimum benefits.

This product is a chewable, soft gel capsule which contains a pleasant citrus-flavoured liquid. Each One-A-Day capsule provides 80mg EPA / DHA. As such, this product is unlikely to deliver the full spectrum of benefits associated with optimum intake of Omega-3 either in the short or longer term. Either additional supplementation or consumption of oily fish is advised to achieve adequate Omega-3 intake.

However the product is pleasant to take and does contain 50% RDA of Vitamins A, D, C, and E; these should provide some additional benefits.

Product is quite expensive and recommended for children of 3yrs+.
