This product contains the heart health-associated nutrients CoQ10, Garlic, Vitamins C and E and the Flaxseed oil-derived Omega-3 fatty acid ALA (Alpha Linolenic Acid) as its main components. 

There is some evidence that supplementation with CoQ10 may have benefits in maintaining heart health, by improving the efficiency of the heart muscle itself. Studies indicate that benefits are asociated with daily dosage levels of between 30mg and 200mg per day. As such this product is likely to deliver heart health benefits associated with increased intake of CoQ10, but these benefits may require long term supplementation to be sustained.   

In the opinion of the SC Expert panel, the levels of garlic and omega-3 fatty acids are too low to deliver the heart health benefits associated with these nutrients, and will require further supplementation or dietary intake. Similarly, the vitamin levels are no more than would be asociated with a standard multivitamin. Product is expensive.
