Protect your health and your pocket with supplement savings
06 October 2008

The economic downturn could be bad news for our bodies as well as our pockets, suggest specialists.

A recent report from the Blood Pressure Association reveals that Britons are cutting back on expensive fruit and vegetables and gym membership, as well as some saying they are drinking more alcohol than before the credit crunch.

One in three of the 2700 questions said they never or rarely ate the recommended amount of vegetables and 16% said they would soon have to cut back on their spending on them.

But experts from supplementscompared.com say that there’s no need to cut back on health supplements, just spend a little more wisely. Reviews conducted by supplementscompared.com on many cheaper supermarket and mail order brands reveal that they contain every bit as much of the required nutrients (and sometimes even more) than the leading brands. In particular, there are some fantastic savings to be found on popular supplements such multivitamins and minerals and cod liver oil capsules.
