The Coloured Sections
This section is dedicated to reviews of individual products. Products are categorised to make them easy to find. Select a category to view all products within that category and from there click on images to view individual products. Each product review will contain:
- An individual write-up based on the merits of that product against its category’s quality benchmark
- A list of the product’s active ingredients and (where applicable) what percentage of the RDA this is
- Details of the product size, whether it is suitable for vegetarians and whether it is free from artificial preservatives, colours, flavours or sweeteners
- Supplements Compared’s unique ‘capsule’ rating to give an indication of the quality of the product and the value for money it provides
- An image of the product and a direct link to the manufacturer’s website
Some products will also have ‘Worth A Look’ or ‘Best Product’ banners on the image. To learn more about this please click on the ‘Winners Explained’ link at the top of the category home page. The ‘Winners Explained’ section will give details of each category’s quality benchmark and an indication of the range of product values per recommended dose.
This section provides background information on specific areas of health concern e.g. Heart Health and Joint Health and the types of nutrients which may be beneficial. To assist in this further, nutrients are divided into those where there is either ´substantial´ evidence of benefit or where there is ´some´ evidence of benefit.
This section provides background information on specific types of supplement, such as where they may be of benefit, and dosages, and time periods typically required to deliver those benefits. With the information supplied here you can move on to the supplement reviews armed with the necessary knowledge to make a wise and informed decision.

To make it easier for you to find reviews for the supplements relevant to you, the products are divided into well-defined categories and sub-categories, as listed below.
