Combinations of multivitamin and mineral products with probiotics are designed to provide the benefits of a multivitamin and mineral and a probiotic.
 
This product provides 100% RDA of 11 of the 12 essential vitamins, with the inexplicable omission of Vitamin D. It also contains 100% RDA of the minerals Iron, Zinc and Iodine. It provides acceptable levels of Calcium and Magnesium for a one-a-day tablet of this type, and also provides trace minerals. As such, this product is likely to deliver all of the benefits associated with daily vitamin supplementation and some of the benefits associated with mineral supplementation.  
 
The level of probiotic bacteria is 20 million per one-a-day tablet, which is below the SC benchmark of 1 billion. As such, this product is unlikely to deliver the expected benefits associated with supplementation of probiotic bacteria.
 
The product contains FOS and Glutamine as prebiotics, but the levels of these, particularly FOS, are too low to really have any impact.
