There is now substantial evidence to suggest that the use of meal replacements as part of a calorie-controlled diet is an effective means of reducing weight. This product is a ready to drink version of a similar (powdered) product. In this case, each drink provides:

• 212 calories
• 14g protein
• 24g sugar
• 6.3g fat
• 4.5g fibre

As such, if this product is used as recommended to replace one or two normal meals a day, it should deliver the intended benefit of weight reduction, both in the short and longer term. This product is fortified with vitamins and minerals, and, when used to replace two meals a day, will provide between 70% and 120% of the RDA of all the essential vitamins and macrominerals. Therefore this product would be expected to deliver the benefits associated with a good quality multivitamin and mineral, hence potentially saving the consumer money on separate supplements. This product tastes good and is very convenient to use, but costs more than using the powdered equivalent.
