There is now substantial evidence to suggest that the use of meal replacements as part of a calorie-controlled diet is an effective means of reducing weight. This product is a ready-to-drink version of a similar (powdered) product. In this case, each drink provides:

• 215 calories
• 31.5g sugar
• 3.6g fat
• 13g  protein
• 4.2g fibre

As such, if this product is used as recommended to replace one or two normal meals a day, it should deliver the intended benefit of weight reduction, both in the short and longer term. This product is fortified with vitamins and minerals, and, when used to replace two meals a day, will provide over 50% RDA of all the essential vitamins, as well as 100% RDA of Calcium and a reasonable proportion of other minerals. Therefore this product would be expected to deliver the benefits associated with a basic multivitamin and mineral supplement, so potentially saving the consumer money on additional supplements. This product is fairly cheap, but costs more than the powdered equivalent.
