Probiotics are selected types of the ´friendly bacteria´ which are normal inhabitants of a human´s intestinal tract. Supplementing oneself with probiotics increases the numbers of these particularly useful types of bacteria, and thereby increases the potential benefits provided by them. This includes helping to maintain the health of the immune and intestinal systems, particularly following the use of antibiotics.

This product contains 3 billion viable probiotic Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria per capsule, with a recommendation of 3 capsules per day. As such, this product is likely to deliver the benefits associated with probiotic supplementation, with the probability of those benefits being more consistent and more rapidly achieved at this relatively high recommended dosage level. However, long term compliance of taking three capsules per day may be poor.
