Vitamin C is one of the vitamins where research suggests that optimum benefits lie in intake greater than 100% RDA; in particular, Vitamin C is beneficial to the immune system. As such, Vitamin C supplements usually provide amounts ranging from 60mg to 1000mg.

This product provides 1000mg (1667% RDA) per tablet and so would be expected to deliver the benefits associated with high intake of Vitamin C . This product also contains 67% RDA Zinc, which also assists the immune system. However, this level of Zinc is normally provided by a standard multivitamin and mineral supplement and so if these are being taken, the extra Zinc included here does not justify the extra cost. This product is an effervescent tablet which becomes a pleasant-flavoured drink.
