Vitamin C is one of the vitamins where research suggests that optimum benefits lie in intake greater than 100% RDA; in particular, Vitamin C is beneficial to the immune system. As such, Vitamin C supplements usually provide amounts ranging from 60mg to 1000mg.

This product contains the 100% RDA value of 60mg in a chewable tablet form. The low potency of this product at the advised dosage means that it is unlikely to deliver the benefits associated with moderate or high intakes of Vitamin C. Also, the level of Vitamin C contained in this product is the same as that found in a standard multivitamin, and lower than the higher potency products. Using this product may be false economy, despite the low price. Although low priced this product is expensive for what it contains and so does not represent very good value for money. This product would be suitable for children.
