Zinc is a mineral best known for its ability to support the immune system, and so is particularly popular during the winter months (when the immune system tends be be more challenged) and for those people who feel their immune system needs a boost.

The RDA for Zinc is 15mg. This product contains 3.5mg in a peppermint-flavoured lozenge. As such, 4 tablets would be necessary to get close to the RDA level and deliver the benefits associated with routine supplementation of Zinc. However, at this level of intake the pack contains only 9 days supply and so becomes hugely expensive. The same benefits could be obtained by taking a good quality multivitamin and mineral.
